I talk about Vault CoWorX on here often without ever really explaining what it is.

And it's a lot more than what people might think.

Vault CoWorX is a community business hub built to give entrepreneurs and small business owners a place to learn, connect, and grow.

Yes, there are physical spaces available, but there is so much more than that. People can find resources, relationships, opportunities, and support that help move their business forward here as well.

Things like First Hour Focus and Midday Moves take place here, giving business owners a reason to come together, learn something useful, meet other people doing the same thing, and leave with something they can use.

Being busy and moving your business forward aren't always the same thing.

There is always something that could be done.

emails to answer.
something to update.
next month's content to plan.
following up with a client
or a new idea you've been meaning to work on.

And when everything feels important, it's really easy to spend the whole day doing things without actually making progress on the things that matter most.

Sometimes instead of asking yourself “What else can I get done?” you need to ask “What actually needs my attention right now?”

I used to look at posts and mostly think of the caption and picture.

Now I think about what is important
the audience.
the reasoning.
the timing.
What we actually want someone to take away from it.

Sometimes the smallest post has a lot more thought behind it than you'd ever guess.

A little reminder: People are Googling you before they ever contact you.

And sometimes they're making a decision based on what they find before you even know they were looking.

Your hours.
Your photos.
Your reviews.
Your address.
Your website.

Something as simple as outdated information can be enough to make someone move on to the next option.

It’s easy to forget about the places people are looking for your business outside of social media.

When's the last time you Googled your own business and looked at it like a customer would?

One day I’m working on social media.

The next day I’m updating information on Google.

Then I might be putting together a newsletter,

Or helping plan an event.

And somewhere in between all of that, I'm learning A LOT.

My job has turned into a little bit of marketing, a little bit of organization, a little bit of problem solving, and a whole lot of “okay, what are we working on today?”

I really like that no two days look exactly the same!

One of my favorite things about working around small businesses is seeing how much they support each other!

I've gotten to know Mary Holder Woollard, the owner of The Schoolhouse Book Shop, over the last couple months, and she's one of those people who is always willing to show up, help out, and support what's happening in our local business community.

She even hosts a book club at Vault CoWorx called Sips & Stories at the Vault, which has been such a fun way to bring people together.

Small businesses aren't built alone. Sometimes it's the relationships, collaborations, recommendations, and people cheering each other on behind the scenes that make the biggest difference.

Of course, I had to buy a psychological thriller book 😉
