SR-71 South to SR-91 West to Orange County and South Bay Los Angeles

A semi-truck overturned on the transition from southbound SR-71 to westbound SR-91 Thursday morning.
The semi landed on its driver’s side on the right dirt shoulder, partially blocking lanes. CHP confirmed no one was trapped, and the driver sustained minor injuries before being transported to Chino Valley Medical Center.
Fuel and oil spilled into the lanes, prompting a full shutdown of the SB 71 to WB 91 connector. Caltrans crews are on scene assisting with cleanup and absorbing the fuel. A SigAlert was issued at 11:33 AM, with an estimated duration of two hours. A heavy-duty tow with salvage was dispatched.
Traffic was backed up to the 71 transition as crews worked to clear the scene.
