ATTENTION!! Update on the Library reopening. 10/6/2020
We wanted to clarify that our building does not remain closed due to COVID-19 or any (now voided) executive orders. We have building code issues that were discovered while we were in the final preparation stages for reopening the building to the public in September. The Library Commission, City Manager and Library Director are working to get these issues resolved in the quickest way possible. We apologize for any inconveniences that this may be causing. The Library remains open for curbside services including copying and faxing. Please reach out at 734-283-1250 for more information about these services.

Fun with Dice! October 8, from 12 pm to 6:45 pm!
Swing by curbside to pick up a bag full of fun, interactive games that can be played with just dice, a piece of paper, a pencil and your own creativity!
Registration begins October 1 and ends on October 7. 1 bag per person. Must be registered by October 7 to receive a bag. Please register by calling 734-283-1250.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Reimagined Summer Reading Program! We hope that our winners are proudly displaying their lawn signs and having fun with all of the trinkets in their prize bags.
A BIG congratulations to our grand prize winner who together read hundreds of hours. Their hard work earned them a $20 gift card of their choice.

The Riverview Public Library is located in Riverview, Michigan, behind the reflection pond in Young Patriots Park. The library’s collection is comprised of over 78,000 items. Fiction and non-fiction books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, and children’s materials contribute to the collection. The Riverview Public Library is a member of The Library Network (TLN), a public library cooperative serving 65 libraries in southeastern Michigan. TLN provides, among other services, a delivery service between member libraries; worldwide interlibrary loan (ILL) services; and a shared online system for looking up and checking out materials.

Riverview 2020 Census response rate is at 70%.
This is pretty good but I know we can do better.
Let's prevent the inconvenience of having a census worker showing up at your house or apartment.
It can be filled out online and just takes a few minutes.
Visit 2020census.gov to get started.
Let's see if we can get the response up 10% by the end of May.
What’s green & orange & *read* all over? The Riverview library in the Fall.
Will you post when the library network login is fixed so that patrons can log into their accounts to borrow ebooks, place holds, & check due dates? Thanks! Went in person yesterday & called today yet still was told the system is “being updated” & the 2 passwords I was told to try to reset my account didn’t work. Said it’s been 2 weeks of the network libraries having issues. Not a good start to my summer reading as I mainly do ebooks now
I will miss his recommendations for movies. He was always there for me. If the door was locked and he was walking by and saw me, he would open it right up.
