Roan Mountain residents - still want to hear your uplifting stories from the flood and recovery efforts. Don't worry about perfect writing! If you have photos, please share those as well. And please hurry - trying to get this issue to print!

Roan Mountain residents - we're a little late getting the October issue put together, and now we need your help. We've decided to save the spooky stories feature for next October and instead focus on recovery.
Part of our mission is to document our way of life and our community history. The compassion, generosity, strength, and resilience we've all experienced and witnessed these past two weeks absolutely demonstrates our way of life, and this event is now part of our history in the making.
We want to hear your stories - but please don't share them in the comments. Send them to me via email or through Messenger. Please include photos (of damage being repaired, of people helping each other, rescue efforts, etc.) We want to hear (and share in print) your positive and uplifting experiences as you've dealt with this ordeal. You're welcome to thank anyone you'd like to thank, tell us the good deeds you witnessed/experienced, and examples of this community pulling together to help each other. Or any other positive story you'd like to share.
We understand you're all unbelievably busy, but we'd like to get this issue put together and published asap, so as soon as you can please! 🙂
Thank you all and God Bless!
