Thunderstorms continue to move across the region this afternoon. Heavy rain and gusty winds are the main threats as these move to the east at 15 mph. A Flood Advisory continues for Roanoke City and parts of Roanoke County until 5 p.m.

A band of heavy rain is located from Big Island to Charlottesville. It is moving to the east at 15 mph. Gusty winds are possible as well. A couple of other storms, one is southern Roanoke County, the other in southern Floyd County, could produce locally heavy rain.
