This is not your usual Pride Month. Roughly a quarter of states have asked the Supreme Court to overturn same-sex marriage. Medical decisions for trans patients have been taken from doctors by politicians. Trans people have been erased from federal crime data surveys, CDC guidelines, and even the historic marker at Stonewall Inn, the New York bar where LGBTQ people famously stood up to police who’d abused them. No matter how bad this gets, we want all y'all queerbillies to know — a huge community of Appalachian Americans see you.
