You walk into a museum… and the most powerful piece of Native American art isn’t a painting.

It’s a quilt. 🌟

Why would a star made of tiny diamonds stitched together mean honor, ceremony, and sacred tradition across the Plains?

And how did a borrowed craft become one of the most meaningful Native symbols ever created?

The answer is on display right now at the Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center on Hatteras Island.

Once you see the Morning Star quilt in person, you’ll never look at quilting the same way again.

Click to read the story behind the star.

Visitors to the Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center are sometimes surprised to find a quilt on display as an example of Native American art. Ever wonder what happened to the era of "house calls" and gas stations where they actually washed your windshield? 🩺⛽

In Aulander, NC, history isn’t just in books—it’s in the snapshots captured by Dick Jenkins and the memories of folks like Daniel Lassiter. We’re talking about a time when the Aulander Exxon wasn't just a place to grab a snack, but a full-service "heartbeat" of the town.

Take a trip down memory lane to see how these landmarks shaped the Aulander we know today.

Step back into an era when a gas station was more than a fuel stop—it was the heartbeat of the town. Through the lens of photographer Dick Jenkins and the vivid memories of lifelong resident Daniel Lassiter, we explore the legacy of Aulander, NC. From the "full-service" days of the local Exxon to ...

H is for… hallelujah. But it’s also for some things your soul is starving for: hope, help, honor, healing, humility.

A simple childhood lesson—“A is for apple…”—turned into a powerful word from the Lord that shook me recently.

Curious what the Holy Spirit showed me when I stopped at the letter H?

If you need a fresh hallelujah in your life, this is for you.

-Pastor Greg Brinson

Sometimes it’s really good to go back in time to remember where you’ve been and what you’ve learned along the way. Recently the Holy Spirit brought to my mind the simple lesson of “a is for apple, b is for ball and c is for cat, etc. Well I believe that he wanted to me […]
