For the first time in years I’m not having to stand in the brunt of the storm to cover severe weather, but I urge you to have ways to receive warnings if they are issued tonight/overnight as Hurricane Francine’s rain bands begin moving across our area. The possibility for brief tornados exists, not to mention heavy downpours at times which could cause ponding on roads. Even though our part of the Gulf Coast isn’t getting a direct hit, some of you will experience impacts from the storm. Stay safe and monitor your local weather!
