Films in the JCC Rochester Jewish Film Festival last week confronted Jewish identity from several vantage points, be it a nine-year-old boy understanding protests in 1960s Paris, a daughter seeking to understand her mother, a well-known Israeli architect, or a man hiding his Jewish identity while rising as one of Germany's best-known game show hosts and television personalities.
