This week the S.C. General Assembly passed the budget which includes vital funding to address healthcare in our state. It includes:

$156 million to fully fund Medicaid and Medicare.

$45 million for Health & Human Services Home & Community-Based services.

$47.5 million for the Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities to improve mental health services to the developmentally disabled.

$34 million to meet new federal standards for SNAP (food assistance) matching requirements.
