Always great to see a bald eagle up close. In this case, just a baby who Hog Capitol Wildlife Rescue and Rehab refused to give up on when they rescued her after her nest fell and she broke a wing.

I had a lot of fun as a "Heart Throb" (their word, not mine LOL) at the Quad Cities Go Red for Women event in Bettendorf. We raised more than $19,000 for The American Heart Association. As a heart attack survivor myself, so grateful for the work being done to raise heart disease awareness.

We’re about a month away from Blues Fest. I’m on the board of the Mississippi Valley Blues Society. We are so excited about this year’s festival. I’m looking forward to doing the stage announcing too. Tickets are on sale now at MVBS.org.
