A Rockport man already facing a child sexual abuse material charge was booked again into the Aransas County Jail on Monday on additional felony counts filed by the Rockport Police Department.
Jail records identify the defendant as Brandon Lee Nguyen. He was booked at 2:42 p.m. on Sept. 15, 2026. The arresting agency is listed as the Aransas County Sheriffโs Office. The charging authority on each count is the Rockport Police Department. Bond on the new booking is listed as N/A, and no charge dispositions are shown.
The current holds, as displayed on the county jail site, are:
two counts of possession/access of child po*******hy involving sexual conduct
one count of sexual performance by a child โ employ, induce, or authorize

Mondayโs booking is not Nguyenโs first arrest in the investigation. On Aug. 20, Rockport police took him into custody on a felony warrant charging possession with intent to promote child po*******hy. He was released the next day on a $50,000 surety bond, according to earlier reporting based on department and jail records. That case grew out of a Rockport police investigation opened in March. Police reports cited in local coverage alleged the conduct occurred between June and December 2025 and involved a then-17-year-old high school student.
Nguyen is also a named defendant, along with his brothers Joshua Lee Nguyen and Brennen Lee Nguyen, in a civil lawsuit filed in May in Aransas County district court. The suit alleges sexual abuse of a minor student and also names Rockport-Fulton ISD, the high school principal, and Texas Coastal Academy. Those civil claims have not been proven in court. A hearing in that case had been scheduled for Sept. 16.
Joshua Nguyen, a former Rockport-Fulton High School maritime science teacher, was separately indicted in August on four second-degree felony counts of improper relationship between an educator and a student. Those charges are distinct from the counts listed against Brandon Nguyen.
No court date, indictment status, or additional statement from police was attached to the Sept. 15 jail listing. The criminal allegations remain unproven. Anyone with information related to the investigation is typically directed to the Rockport Police Department.
