Okayyyyy ❤️‍🔥🫰🫦 in that same vein as yesterday when I mentioned how different all my recent weddings have been. This venue was just a stones throw from red rocks amphitheater in Colorado. Also, vibe and lighting-wise, this is a little outside of my normal photo style and it made me question my whole approach moving forward (in a good way lol we stay evolving, right?)

Haylee & Alijah had so much easy style and elegance and natural swag to the whole event I knew I’d be obsessed with the photos before I even looked back at them.

First of all, both of them gave off such a natural warmth and magnetic aura I literally just adored them immediately. Low key main character energy without even trying. The friends everyone are drawn to because of this kind of quiet and inviting natural poise and composure.

Haylee told me she wanted more of an editorial and artistic approach. She loved her venue — in Morrison, CO— and her mood board was a lot of bold poses and direct flash and artistic angles. She really leaned into the style of her venue and her own style! The sleeves on her dress were honestly one of my favorite bridal features I’ve ever seen.

I think this was such a great event and example of having a vision and sticking to it. They focused on the big things that mattered to their vision and made it happen. And their bridal party was super fun and supportive. I love when bridal parties are enthusiastic and down for anything I ask or suggest 😆🙌

I also am so grateful she trusted me and even pushed me a little bit out of my normal comfort zone because in the past I leaned so much more into natural light and this allowed me to get super creative with both on and off camera flash! I will definitely be incorporating it way more going forward (when appropriate — I still love my dreamy natural light 🤪)

Swipe for some shots of one of my favorite ceremonies of the year so far at the amazing just outside of Taos, New Mexico ⛰️🏜️

Everything from the backdrop, to the bolo ties galore, to their dog insisting he be in every shot with mom and dad, to her boots and even to the misty rain during the ceremony felt truly authentic to Meg and Sam. Unpretentious with a couple funky touches, out amongst nature with their best friends and family staying and camping in the nearby trailers along with them. It felt real, it felt centered on the things that mattered and who can argue with that view, tbh

Honestly my recent weddings have all been SO different from each other and in the best ways. I LOVE when people truly lean into their personalities, when the entire event just feels like *them*

In just the last month, I’ve been in a manor in Colorado, an (adorable) airstream trailer park in New Mexico, the stunning red rocks of Utah, the forest in Virginia, along a hayfield and lake in upstate New York, and among the gorgeous fall leaves in Ohio.

I’m tired but my heart is full and honestly couldn’t be more grateful for what I do and what people trust me to capture everyday 🫶

This and living in a place where my AC bill isn’t a direct and personal attack 😅

I want cute summer dates with my dude in a park in July… I’m so jealous. Texas just tries to scorch us with its weather, flora and fauna 🐍 🌋

Also JB’s new album is a banger I won’t listen to any negative feedback, periodt.

Hope everyone is having a great summer — I am too and busy as always, and still have tendinitis so I try to be selective with my electronic use but had to share these 🤌❤️‍🔥

A moment for ✨Kiara✨

I hadn’t been to the local botanical garden in a hot minute and I was so excited to go back! We were dodging prom and senior picture takers like crazy but that’s okay because I get it, it was such a beautiful day and backdrop!

with was on this one, as well for videography 😎🎥

We got to flit through the shrubbery like little fairies 🧚 they also included their doggo in the ceremony which I always ADORE, and I also caught them in a cute game of rock paper scissors which cracked me up — maybe I’ll post those soon, too 🥰

It’s getting steamy down here in south Texas! And I still am on hold for summer sessions and fairly booked through fall but please don’t hesitate to still reach out! I can usually be convinced 🤪 hope everyone is staying cool and having an incredible and fun summer!
