Music with L.King

I've been interested in music for most of my life. My first experience with music is learning to play the piano. I took lessons for many years and performed at several recitals. I even won first place at a MSMTA competition! Having been classically trained, I started to become interested in learning how to play other kinds of music such as pop, jazz, new age, and rock. I learned how to improvise a

nd started to compose some of my own music. While I was still studying piano, I became interested in learning how to play the guitar. I pretty much taught myself how to play but also had a few guitar lessons. I played in a few bands and wrote some songs for the guitar as well. Currently, I teach private lessons in Montgomery County as well as in Northwest D.C. Starting next year, I am going to start teaching group lessons! I'm also working on a solo project that will hopefully be out by next year.
