After answering a Craigslist Ad in 2012 and filming my very first wedding, Phillip Benz Productions was created and I was hooked. Since that day, I have gone on to help over 300 couples re-live their dream weddings and businesses, both big and small, recruit new talent and fulfill their marketing needs. Video is more than just holding a camera and editing, it’s about storytelling and connecting with the audience in a way that brings them in wanting more.

Take a moment to figure out your why.
Part of mine is knocked out in the front seat as we head to Raleigh for Day 2 of Barcelona soccer camp.

Most of us — not all, but most — bust our asses daily because we’re chasing something. For me, it’s not just about being the best business owner I can be for my clients… it’s about being the most present dad and husband I can be for my family.

Take the trip, take your work with you to camps, figure out a way to not only thrive in business but to also be present.

I’ve been in business for 13 years. For half of that, I refused to carry business cards.

Why? Ego.
I genuinely believed that if someone really wanted to work with me, they’d reach out.

But then I realized—almost every client I serve today is a 7-figure earner… and they ALL carry cards.

Sometimes it's the small, simple things that make the biggest impression.

Our Story

I still can't believe that almost 7 years ago Benz Productions started by answering a Craigslist ad for someone needing a wedding videographer. Flash forward to now, I’m still evolving and learning every single day and it never gets old.

My name is Phillip Benz, owner and operator of Benz Productions. We recently left North Carolina and relocated to Virginia Beach, Virginia. That being said, most of my work is still in NC but I do offer my services worldwide.

The thing that draws me to weddings is the fact that I’m telling a story of one of the happiest days of a couple’s life. I’m able to use my creativity to help this couple, their friends and their families, remember this day in a way they never could have remembered otherwise. I take a lot of pride in my work and I give it my all on a wedding day.
