So here’s the story… Customer sends their shocks to a big-name shock shop. You know the type — flashy trailers at events, polished Instagram posts, “factory-backed” ego, and a sticker for every square inch of aluminum.
They charge a fat stack of cash, promise a rebuild AND a custom tune. Shocks come back… and boom — it rides like a damn brick. Send it back again, because hey, maybe they “forgot their magic touch”? Nope. Still brick mode. 🧱
Then they roll into our shop, and the second we crack them open it’s a horror/ comedy show:
🍯 Oil so thick it looked like Winnie the Pooh was the lead tech
💥 Shims snapped like Pringles
🗑️ A “revalve” job that had more effort in the invoice than in the shock
🔧Looks like they had a field day with a nasty sharp pick
All of that with less than 500 miles on it. But don’t worry — they made sure to cover it in massive, look-at-me stickers. Because at the end of the day, nothing screams “professional” like garbage work hiding behind a logo. 🙃
Meanwhile, at Toxix? No circus, no honey oil, no big ole sticker hype. Just real suspension work that actually works — because that’s what you paid for. 🩸
