First day of vacation… but honestly it feels more like wedding prep bootcamp 😅💍
Setup at the venue starts tomorrow, so today is all the last-minute stuff: packing, organizing, mani - pedi with my sister, double-checking, trying not to forget anything, and somehow keeping life moving in the middle of it all.
It’s chaotic.
It’s exciting.
It still doesn’t feel real.
Two days until I marry Matt 🤍

5AM. Last workday before vacation. One more kitchen day to get through. ☕👩‍🍳
And then… I’m off for almost 3 weeks, and on Saturday I marry Matt.
It still doesn’t feel real.
Work, kids, wedding details, chaos, coffee, and somehow we made it to the final stretch.
Just have to get through today… then it’s wedding time. 🤍💍

Family game night started with Matt and Ethan playing a board game…
…and somehow ended with the kids attacking us over the last two popsicles 😂
There were only 2 left, so naturally it became a full family survival situation.
Matt opened Ethan’s popsicle and immediately took the dad tax, because apparently that’s just the law around here 😂
Real life over here — board games, popsicle negotiations, kid chaos, and 4 days until we get married 🤍

Life really has a way of throwing all the things at you at once.
This week our original officiant had to back out because of a family emergency, and with only 7 days until the wedding, one of our friends stepped up, got ordained, and said, “I’ve got you.”
And honestly… that is the kind of love I will never forget.
At the same time, I had to break Logan’s heart and tell him he didn’t make the competitive soccer team this season. We both cried. A lot. Because watching your kid work hard and still feel disappointed is one of the hardest parts of being a mom.
But after the tears, we made a plan.
We are going to work hard, keep showing up, and try again next season. Because that is what we do.
This week has been emotional, messy, humbling, and somehow still full of love.
Seven days until I marry my best friend. One strong little boy learning that not making it this time does not mean it is over. And a whole lot of people reminding us that we are not doing life alone. 🤍

Some days you can laugh through the chaos…
and some days you just can’t.
Today was one of those days where everything felt like too much at once.
Wedding stress.
Mom heartbreak.
Trying to hold it together when all you really want to do is cry for a minute, breathe, and figure out the next step.
So that’s what I’m doing.
Not keeping it together today.
Just taking a breath and trying again tomorrow. 🤍
