Heartbroken to share we had to say goodbye to our beloved Charlie yesterday 💔

Charlie has been with us for almost 17 years... our first bottle baby, who became a big, healthy boy full of life and loud meows.

Charlie has been a fighter, diagnosed with Diabetes in 2021, he has taken insulin shots twice a day every day since then. Not to mention countless vet visits, shots for his worsening arthritis, none of which he ever enjoyed. 😹

It was an awful morning yesterday, but now he is not longer in any pain and I am so grateful we were both with him in his last hours and minutes. 🌈

Gone but never forgotten, we will love you for ever Charwee. 🤎

WOOHOO! 🎉
The Story Of My Pet Podcast officially hit 7500 downloads! 🐾

I started the podcast almost 4 years ago and have had to take many breaks along the way, but the podcast keeps going and growing event when I am not actively posting new episodes. But as I often say, Podcasting is a LONG game and this shows it is true.

I'm proud to continue this podcast and reach people all over the world to share stories that advocate and educate for animal welfare, rescue, fostering, and adoption. 🩷

Thanks to the IG 2016 trend I dove into my phone photos and when 2016 popped up I realized my Jack & Cosmo were still here 💔

Jack was my first cat ever and first pet on my own. I adopted from a local shelter as a fluffy tiny kitten in 2002. He was with me for almost 16 years when he passed in July 2018.

Jack was my only cat to be an only cat, but that lasted less than a year when I brought home baby Cosmo after he was found in a tortoise hole in my now in-laws backyard.

Cosmo came to me in July 2003. Covered in fleas from living in the yard he was the cutest grey and white kitten with the perfect pink nose. Jack took him under his wing and they became besties, playing and snuggling together for many years to come.

Jack was my soul cat, we were connected in a way there is no description for. He just knew me.

Cosmo was a true lap cat. If I was sitting or laying anywhere, he was on top of me. I missed a lot of time with him in the end while commuting to work and regret that so much. I miss him on my lap especially when things are hard, so here are some favorites 🤍🩶

Happy New Years my friends and fellow animal lovers 🐾🩷

No fancy graphic or post, just me enjoying a holiday with no working or podcasting, only time spent with my cats and a puzzle- of my cats of course thanks to a gift from my husband 😉

I hope you all are enjoying time with friend and family, fur and human alike 🥰
