Due to the Snow/Ice and cold, I did not make it to town yesterday and today. If anyone is interested in purchasing an ad for January's issue, please contact me! You can use Messager, email or my phone number is 572-363-9052. Yes, the area code is 572. The most common size ad is the square ad and it is $25. Our cheapest option is our classifieds which are 25 cents per word. We also have the front-page banner for $150 and other options! Don't hesitate to ask! We print 500 copies and go from Duncan north to Chickasha.

Today is National Rocky Road day.
Rocky Road orginally started when the travelers went from Europe to Australia. Their food would start to go bad so they would mix it with local nuts to help it last longer. The name came because the desert road looked like a bumpy, rocky road through the goldfields.
The Ice cream flavor version was invented in Oakland by William Dreyer. Due to the Great Depression and the crash of Wall Streat, he made his tagline "share a scoop, share a smile" to try and make other people happy.
