After a comfortable Monday, southern winds will push temperatures back into the mid to upper 90s on Tuesday and Wednesday. With dew points in the 70s, heat index values will cross over 100 degrees in parts of southern Indiana and central Kentucky.

A boil water advisory is in effect for Cooper Road until further notice due to a water main break.

The boil water advisory for the following areas has been lifted, effective at 11:40 a.m. today:

• West Highway 80 from Tonkin Drive to the Adair County line
• Gentry Mill Road from Woodland Drive to Highway 80
• Shepherd Drive from Sherry Lane to the end of the road
• Jewel Street
• Rose Street

BOIL WATER ADVISORY UPDATE

The boil water advisory currently in effect for Jewel Street and Rose Street has been expanded to include the following areas:

• West Highway 80, from Tonkin Drive to the Adair County line
• Gentry Mill Road, from Woodland Drive to Highway 80
• Shepherd Drive, from Sherry Lane to the end of the road

The advisory will remain in effect until further notice. We will announce when it has been lifted.

Biggest change is that a heat advisory has been expanded across the entire area. Highs in the mid-upper 90s with heat index values of 100-107 degrees are expected. Little heat relief is expected overnight as lows only reach the low to mid 70s. Overall, stay hydrated and check on your neighbors this week!
