We're seeing more patriotic decorations popping up across the county as we get closer to Independence Day.

🇺🇸 Don't forget! Join us for the Grainger County/America 250 Celebration on Friday, July 3, 2026, in Downtown Rutledge:
• 5:30 p.m. – Food trucks, Kid Zone and photo booths open
• 6:00 p.m. – Live music featuring Billy Sales and the Double Barrel Band
• 8:00 p.m. – Parade through downtown led by Grainger County veterans
• Around 9:30 p.m. – Fireworks finale

🎆 Free commemorative American flags will be available throughout the evening while supplies last!

REMINDER!!! 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Painting Grainger Red, White and Blue Decorating Contest registration has officially closed! Thank you to everyone who signed up to help make our communities patriotic and festive ahead of America’s 250th celebration.

Here’s what participants need to know:
All red, white and blue decorations/displays must be installed by Friday, May 29. (Extended due to weather.)
• Photos of completed displays must be submitted by Monday, June 1 to [email protected].
• Submitted photos will be used for community judging and online voting.
• Facebook voting polls are scheduled to open Wednesday, June 3. More details on voting will be announced soon.

Event rules and additional information can still be found online through the Grainger County Chamber of Commerce website.
