LST Motorsports Park Hosts Successful 2025 Season Opener

After an unexpected delay to start the season, LST Motorsports Park was finally able to get off the ground and running this past Sunday. They kicked off the 2025 season with an jam-packed 10-race event, presented by Rowe & Sons Trucking.

The Mainely Karting crew truly knocked it out of the park as close to 100 drivers showed up to compete across 9 divisions.

Local karting phenom Jace Pastore kept it in the family and picked up right where he left off last season, picking up feature victories in both the Box Stocks and Jr. Sportsman. Meanwhile, his younger sister Sloan Pastore made her karting debut in the Jr. Box Stocks, finishing fifth.

After going winless in 2024, Adam Josselyn finally got the monkey off of his back on Opening Day, picking up a feature win in the Winged Champs. Feature B for the Jr. Box Stocks was also riddled with excitement as William Ham beat Logan Hannan to the line by a mere .017 seconds, scoring the victory.

Nolan Cushing, Josh Bickford, Jamie Henderson, Welker Reynolds, Tyler Gillie and Mason Johnson were all winners in their respective divisions, with action-packed racing across the board.

Following the event, multiple drivers and their families took to social media to sing praises for the facility and their improvements, including veteran driver Joe Day, whose daughter Jocelyn races in the Sportsman division.

“The atmosphere at LST Motorsports Park is electric. It has the sounds of laughter, and most importantly the feel of family. This place, from day one, has never stopped trying to impress and improve with their events, whether it be the weekly shows, the banquet or with all of the yearly improvements. Steve and Debbie have sunk their heart and soul into this track and the growth of the track shows just how much love and effort is brought into the project”, he shared.

The track is rolling full-speed into their next event on Saturday, where the Champ Karts are joining the Group #2 divisions for an exhibition race at Wiscasset Speedway as part of “Mainely Karting” night, followed by another 10-race program at the facility on Sunday.

The green flag flies at 5:00 pm on Saturday at Wiscasset Speedway and again at 1:00 pm on Sunday at LST Motorsports Park!

Great race for Trevor Sanborn Motorsports this past weekend at Star Speedway! 🏁

Trevor Sanborm Scores Solid 4th Place Finish at Star Speedway

Leading into Sunday’s Pro All Stars Series race at STAR Speedway, Trevor Sanborn’s main objectives were to race clean, play it smart and accrue as many points as humanly possible.

Given that he didn’t have a ton of experience at STAR leading into the weekend and his last outing there was subpar, Trevor was looking to gain more knowledge on the track and improve upon his past performance.

Unfortunately, Trevor got shuffled to the back in the qualifying heat, so the team made major adjustments between the heat and the feature. The initial lap of the feature brought mayhem as the points leader was collected in an incident. His misfortune brought opportunity to the #44 team, who elected to pit during the second caution for more adjustments.

Trevor made 2 more pit stops throughout the race and the car began to come to life as the laps wound down. He steadily worked his way through the field, avoiding multiple near-incidents in the closing portion of the race to pick up a solid 4th place finish.

“I’m just really proud of the team’s hard work all day, especially during all of those pit stops. It was a great team effort and gives us motivation leading into the next PASS race at Oxford”, he shared.

Trevor will be hitting the track again on Tuesday, July 1st for the Celebration of America 300 kickoff at Official Page of Oxford Plains Speedway. The green flag flies at 6:00 pm!
