Politicians are often accused of throwing shade or being shady, but we have a different shade story and it illustrates the sad side of how we make government messy. Add that to a sad story about the weak campaign compliance efforts. On the positive side, Californians like direct democracy, a former D.A. has a new job, there will be a new mayor of Sacramento, and La Jolla wants to become a city (did you know it wasn’t?).
