Today’s Rastafari JAMS Daily Vibes: ❤️💛💚Honoring Marcus Garvey, the visionary leader who ignited the Pan-African movement! 🙏✨

Born in Jamaica 🇯🇲 in 1887, Garvey founded the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA), promoted Black nationalism, and championed economic empowerment through his Black Star Line shipping company. His powerful message of self-love, unity, and repatriation continues to inspire and uplift people worldwide 💪🌟

As a pioneer and prophet, Garvey’s legacy reminds us that ‘a people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots’ 🌿

・・・Today August 17th is the celebration of the anniversary of the birth of three great men. Emperor Menelik the 2nd of Ethiopia where under his leadership they defeated the Italians at the battle of Adwa in 1896. The Most Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey the greatest black prophet of our time, born in Jamaica and established the (UNIA) Universal Negro Improvement Association to empower Africans at home and abroad. His impact is very significant and his philosophies have inspired many individuals including myself. Also His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Zera Yacob grand son of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie the 1st who’s currently heir to the throne of David and Solomon. I also want to send birthday greetings to those celebrating their Earthstrong today as well. Long life and prosperity ❤️💚💛✊🏿💪🏿

Rest in power, Cocoa Tea! The reggae world mourns the loss of a true legend. Born Calvin George Scott, Cocoa Tea rose to fame in the 80s with hits like “Lost My Sonia” and “Rikers Island”. He was a prominent figure in the dancehall scene, known for his energetic live performances and socially conscious lyrics. With a career spanning over four decades, Cocoa Tea collaborated with icons like Shabba Ranks, Supercat, and Buju Banton. His legacy will live on through his music, but we’ll deeply miss his vibrant spirit. Walk good, Cocoa Tea!
