After a year of planning, the new Matías Bombal’s Hollywood Wide Screen Roadshow Series debuts this Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Orinda Theatre with LAWRENCE OF ARABIA- Wide Screen Roadshow Series- Orinda Theatre and will continue the second Sunday of each month in 2026.

The idea to do it came from the fact that may of these movies are too long in running time to include in the Matias Bombal's Hollywood Orinda Classic Movie Matinee series on Tuesday afternoons which focuses primarily on movies made before 1958 and recreates the classic matinee experience with 30-40 mins of selected short subjects. Rather than try to shoehorn them into that format, the big screen epics should be presented as they were when new, as stand alone special event screenings.

If the series is a hit, we'll continue with a second year of titles in 2027. Big Movies. Big Screen, no previews or shorts, just the epic wide screen experience recreated... with movies that have musical overtures, intermissions, entr'acte music and walk out music. $15.00 all seats.
