Join us in honoring our Firefighter therapy dogs who answer the call ☎️ to our heroes … at H4H USA 🇺🇸 our answers the immediate 911 critical calls for our Firefighters , the department and community they serve. With over 70,000 hours of training last year alone in community, classes, debriefings, special group training, 911 calls, peer support training, and with 36 hours of group training with the pack and additional 15 minute 4 times a day with regular in station training when on duty… attending all critical incident stress debriefing they are there when they need them most… the moment it happens. No waiting 24/7 available along side the peer support team ready to help! .

Fun fact🐾🐾🐾 she was raised in a home with a loving father who was a before him… teaching her the importance of loving dogs 🐕… in her family they were always off leash highly trained and obedient. she had 17 🐾 to date…stating they rescued US!

Congratulations Chief Cusano on 30 incredible years of service and sacrifice to our community.

Grateful for the years of friendship first, the honor to know you for over 43 years and the privilege to have served our Folsom Fire Family 🚒 this one is bittersweet as Bruce and I are so happy for you. Know one more deserving but selfishly going to miss seeing you in the community as a real hero who has done so much for our community.

Meet Bruce Martell, Founder, First Responder, and President of Hearts 4 Heroes, and his pup, Jett the Jindo 🐾❤️

Jett is a 6-year-old Jindo-Husky mix with a story as powerful as the mission behind Hearts 4 Heroes. He was rescued from Texas after Bruce and his wife, Shelley, met him four years ago and couldn’t stop thinking about him.

Instead of a romantic birthday getaway, Shelley said, “Let’s go get this dog.” So they flew to Texas, picked up Jett, and turned their vacation into a pawsome rescue mission full of husky love. The moment they brought him home, he knew—this was his furever family.

Jett had never had a walk, a leash, or even a vet visit. Everything was new. And yet, he bonded instantly with Shelley, only letting her walk him. He knew she was saving him… but in reality, he saved them first.

Jett was the first dog after Scooby, the original “why” behind Hearts 4 Heroes. He helped begin their healing journey and became the very first of the “Paw Platoon.” He’s now a therapy dog in training and has helped train many of the puppies that have joined the program. Shelley calls him “the Nana dog”—he’s the alpha and a protector for the littles, guiding and caring for them with incredible patience.

Their bond runs deep. Jett always knows how Bruce is feeling—whether he’s happy, stressed, or processing a tough call. He responds instantly with the intuition of a true companion.

He’s also full of that classic husky personality. He talks a lot, runs at lightning speed, and loves tug-of-war with Dad. Walks, cuddles, and any chance to sneak into bed with them? Always a yes.

Jett isn’t just a pet—he’s the heart of a legacy. 🫶🏼🐾❤️
