Established in May 2002, it provides a perspective on the Filipino-Americans' involvement in the greater community, as well as on the issues and reports that affect the Filipino-American community and the community at large. While the publication is based in Sacramento, California, it also reaches readers in Elk Grove, Rocklin, Stockton, Vallejo, San Francisco, and San Jose.

Filipino Community of Sacramento and Vicinity (FCSV) Presents “Bayan Ko: Celebrating the Heart of Every Region”

Sacramento, CA – On Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 5:00 PM, the Filipino Community of Sacramento and Vicinity (FCSV) will host its annual celebration of Filipino American History Month at the Jose Rizal Community Center in Sacramento, California.

This year’s theme, “Bayan Ko: Celebrating the Heart of Every Region,” highlights the rich cultural diversity of the Philippines and honors the legacy of Filipino contributions in the United States.

The evening will feature a sold-out Gala Night with the following highlights:
• Recognition of distinguished Filipino community leaders, each representing a region of the Philippines.
• Culinary specialties unique to each region.
• Traditional and cultural dance performances showcasing the beauty of Filipino heritage.

Filipino American History Month is observed nationwide to honor the historic presence and contributions of Filipinos in America. FCSV’s celebration continues this proud tradition of honoring heritage, leadership, and community spirit.
