STEP BY STEP 👇🏼👇🏼
If you want real results on social media, you need a roadmap before you start driving. As an agency owner, this is the exact process I use to build winning strategies for my clients (and you can steal it).
Here is my step-by-step breakdown:
1. Define what "Winning" looks like
Before posting anything, we set clear, specific goals. Are we chasing followers, clicks, or sales? We need to know where the finish line is.
2. Get obsessed with the Audience
I do a deep dive into who we are talking to. I want to know their struggles, what keeps them up at night, and exactly what they need to solve their problems.
3. Stalk the Competition
I look at what similar brands are doing. What works for them? What are they doing wrong? How can we do it better?
4. The Reality Check (SWOT)
We look at the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. This tells us exactly where the business stands right now.
5. Map the Journey
How does a stranger become a customer? I outline the steps they take and brainstorm content ideas for every stage of that trip.
6. Analyze Buying Styles
Not everyone buys the same way. I look at different personality types to ensure we are speaking everyone’s language, from impulse buyers to heavy researchers.
7. Build the Content Plan
This is the "meat" of the strategy. I create themes (pillars) based on what the client sells. Then, I write a ton of ideas for Reels, posts, and Stories and put them on a schedule.
8. Make it Social
Posting is only half the battle. I create a plan for how we will interact with others—both replying to comments and going out to find new conversations.
9. Get Discovered
I research the best hashtags to ensure the content actually gets seen by new people.
10. Look for Growth
I look at the big picture of the industry to find extra ways we can grow specifically for their niche.
11. The Profile Cleanup
Finally, I look at their current page. I fix the bio, the links, and the highlights to make sure everything looks professional and ready for traffic.
Save this for the next time you feel lost in your content planning.
