I stopped at a thrift store yesterday and found this framed photo of someone's beloved cat. For a moment I wondered about the person who took the picture, the cat who was deeply loved, and the life they shared together. Time has a way of changing everything. Homes are emptied, people move, loved ones pass away, and the things that once meant the world to us quietly find their way onto thrift store shelves.
One day, every one of us will simply become a story someone else tells... or a photograph someone wonders about. That's not depressing to me. It reminds me to love harder, laugh louder, take more pictures, and fill this little chapter of my life with as much meaning as I can. Life lives. Seasons change. And every ending makes room for another beginning. Even my own life is not immune from this. ❤️🐈
This next chapter of my life is about discovering who I am without managing, fixing, hoping or enabling another grown adults life. The time has come to figure out who Sharon is. I'm simultaneously terrified and excited and also sad.
