Love is... when you can't let go. Even though you're no longer with me, Dad, the love I have for you hasn’t faded. It’s only grown stronger with time. I still talk to you, still ask for your advice, and still feel your presence in my heart. I may not be able to hold you anymore, but I hold onto the love and the wisdom you gave me every single day. It’s not easy, and sometimes it feels unbearable, but I know you’re watching over me. I’ll never let go of you, Dad, and I’ll carry your love with me wherever I go.

Dear God, we come together today with heavy hearts and unwavering faith, lifting up the state of Texas in this time of hardship. We ask for Your divine protection, healing, and strength for all those affected by the recent events. Wrap each individual in Your love and mercy, and provide comfort to the families who have lost loved ones. Please grant the first responders, the leaders, and the community the strength they need to face the challenges ahead. Help them rebuild their lives and find peace in the midst of pain. May Your light shine through the darkness, offering hope and guidance to all who are struggling. We pray that Texas will rise from this stronger, united, and filled with compassion. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen

There isn’t a single day that goes by without me thinking of you, Dad. I miss your laughter, your advice, and the quiet way you made everything feel safe. Life feels different without you — quieter, and somehow a little less bright. Sometimes, I still reach for my phone to call you, forgetting for a moment that you’re no longer here.

I miss the talks we used to have, even the simple moments when we didn't have to say anything at all. You always knew how to make me feel understood. I carry your lessons, your strength, and your love with me every day. No matter how much time passes, a part of my heart will always long for you.

Father’s Day is almost here, and my heart aches a little more.
It’s that time of year again—when stores fill with cards, gifts, and celebration plans. But for me, it’s a quiet, heavy countdown. A reminder that you’re not here. A reminder of what I lost.

Dad, I would give anything—anything at all—just to hear your voice again. To hear you say you’re proud of me. To hear your laugh that used to light up our whole home. I miss the way you’d say my name, like it was the most natural thing in the world. I didn’t know that ordinary moments could become the ones I’d miss the most.

There’s an emptiness I carry every day, but on days like this, it grows louder. It hurts deeper.

I try to be strong. I try to honor you by living a life you’d be proud of. But some days, I just want to go back—to one more hug, one more conversation, one more chance to say “I love you.”

This Father’s Day, I won’t be celebrating with you. But I will celebrate you. Your memory. Your love. Everything you taught me.
