Today we celebrate Goku, a character who didn’t just define an era… he built one.
People call him the “Father of Anime” — not because Dragon Ball was the first anime (it wasn’t), but because it was the one that pushed anime into the global spotlight. Goku made millions of people around the world fall in love with anime, and inspired generations of creators. In a way, a huge percentage of the anime we enjoy today exists because Dragon Ball opened that door.
