PARENTS DECIDE
No, It’s Not “Wonderful” When Educators Discuss Sexual Identity With Other People’s Children

Jani Wilkens is the librarian at Wright City Middle School. Those calling her or anyone who has open conversations with other people’s children about sexual identity a “wonderful educator and role model” is exactly the problem.

That is not the school’s role. Parents decide when and how those topics are discussed with their own kids. We will keep saying so.

DID YOU KNOW FHSD STILL HAD TENS OF MILLIONS IN PROP S BOND CASH — AND NOW WANTS ANOTHER $150 MILLION?

Prop S started at $244 million. Premiums and interest pushed it to about $288 million.

The last audit (June 30, 2025) still showed $81 million in the capital fund. About $64.6 million of that was restricted unspent bond money — leftover bond cash that can only be used for buildings and projects, not teacher pay or daily operations.

They have spent more since then. They have never published what is left today.

Now they want two new asks:

PROP O
$5.5 million a year
shifted into operations

PROP H
$150 million new bond
with a 5-YEAR LONGER PAYOFF

Same tax rate.
Longer debt.

Don’t forget the new high school: sold at ~$86 million, finished near $165 million. That’s more than $78 million over.

STATE AUDITOR RATING - POOR

Dozens of promised Prop S projects never happened.

Why? Because they overspent!

• Why did Henderson’s gym run $16 million — and $2 million over budget?

• Why expand Fairmount instead of redrawing boundaries, costing tax payers more new construction?

• Why new playgrounds at all 10 elementaries at once?

• Why $125,000 irrigation on a middle-school infield?

• Why an entire $7 million theater refresh just because the light bulbs were outdated?

• Why a bus wash while they say there’s nothing left to cut?

THEY SAID IT WAS A MENTAL HEALTH PRESENTATION.

IT STARTED WITH PIZZA PREFERENCES.
IT ENDED WITH 7TH GRADERS BEING ASKED ABOUT SEXUAL ACTIVITIES, “WHAT TURNS ME ON,” AND “KISS/LICK/BITE/GRAB MY…”

This happened in Crandon, Wisconsin. An outside presenter. Parents were left in the dark. Tax dollars earmarked for mental health paid for it.

That is not health class.
That is not consent education.

That is adults putting explicit sexual content in front of 12- and 13-year-olds without telling their parents.

If a school can hide this behind “mental health” and “pizza,” it can happen anywhere.

Parents deserve notice.
Parents deserve the right to opt out.
Parents deserve to be the ones who decide when — and whether — these conversations happen.

Ask your district:
• Who is coming into the building?
• What worksheets are being used?
• Why weren’t parents told?

Protect the kids. Demand the materials. Do not assume “health” means harmless.

PARENTS SETTING RULES ARE NOW “OPPRESSORS”

DEAR SCHOOL BOARD

In regard to Prop O and Prop H, I don’t think you’re looking at—or sharing—the bigger picture with our community.

When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Moms come to the microphone talking about wanting great schools and resources for their kids. What they often don’t realize is that if we keep borrowing more money and stretching out the debt, those same children will not be able to afford to live here when they grow up.

We should be building a stable future for them, not a mountain of debt they will have to carry. So I ask: are you thinking only about the here and now, or are you actually planning for the future of the next generation? That question should always be part of your plan and your legacy as a board member.

Second, I will continue to shine a light on teachers and staff who think it is appropriate to promote or discuss sexual orientation with students, or to make age-inappropriate books available to them.

That is not bullying!

Those conversations, and materials belong with parents. Families have the right to know what exists in the classroom, the library, and the school. Books need clear and reasonable ratings, and parents need an easy way to opt out of materials that carry those ratings.

If you and those teachers do not want this exposed, that is a transparency problem.

Parents have every right to know what is happening in our schools. If you disagree with that, it looks like you are hiding something.

Last, the remark about “loving my neighbor.” I do love my neighbors. Having a different political viewpoint does not make me unkind.

The truth is they (actually just the women) stopped waving at me once they learned where I stand—and I already knew how they voted. So please don’t pretend you are giving me a lesson.

SO MUCH FOR NO POLITICS IN SCHOOLS.

FHSD is changing its electioneering policy to allow campaigning on school sidewalks — but only for school board candidates and district bond/levy measures.

This is not patron comments. This is people standing on school property handing out campaign materials.

- Just the ones they care about.

They are doing first and second reading at the SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT. They are rushing this through before November.

VOTE NO ON PROP OH NO!

Will Prop O & Prop H raise your tax rate?
No. That’s the sneaky language trick.

“Zero-tax-rate-increase”
DOES NOT MEAN we aren’t borrowing more money.

Prop H is a $150 million bond. Same rate. Longer loan. Five more years on the payment plan. The bill still exists — it just gets kicked to our kids.

Six years ago voters passed Prop S: $244 million, billed as Missouri’s largest bond, supposed to cover years of facility work. FHN blew the budget.

👉🏻Remember that $78 Million Over Budget new High School? 🙄 Yeah, they’re hoping you don’t.

Dozens of promised projects got cut. Now they’re back asking to borrow again before that chapter is even closed.

If the work is truly needed, prove it and pay for it in the open. Stop running the district on a credit card.

THE WAR ON OUR KIDS IS REAL

A student in Colorado was attacked online by a parent for leading a faith-and-patriotism club. The school found no evidence for the claims.
This is happening here too.

A Francis Howell student has been provoked by another student who said they want to fight her because her mom ran for school board and stands for things that student’s parents don’t agree with.

This is being stirred up by an anti-conservative radical-left group that parents and school officials participate in — including Sarah Dillard, school board member Jason Adams’ wife, and theater teacher Ren Adams.

Parents: stop putting kids in the middle of adult political fights. Disagree with adults. Do not send students after other students.

You will be held responsible.

This needs to stop.

Kindness for ALL students right?

PROTECT WOMEN’S SPORTS — MISSOURI’S LAW STANDS

Parents — this matters.

Senator Hawley just confirmed the sponsors of the federal college sports bill fixed language that would have gutted Missouri’s law banning men in women’s sports.

That is not a small technical change. A broad federal “preemption” clause can wipe out a state protection without most parents ever seeing it. Missouri already said biological males do not belong on girls’ and women’s teams or in their locker rooms. That law had to stay.

Fairness is not hate. Safety is not optional. Girls trained for years should not lose scholarships, records, or roster spots to male bodies.

Watch this. Share it. Keep asking every official the same question: will you protect women’s sports — or bury the protection in fine print?
