🚧 WATER MAIN REPAIR UPDATE 🚧

As of 9:21 p.m., the water main repair has been completed, and water service is being restored. Our Public Works team is currently turning the water back on and flushing the system.

This was a significant repair that required crews to replace a 14-foot section of water main, including two residential meter taps. I want to give a huge shoutout to our St. Robert Public Works team. After the issue was reported, they worked diligently on a Friday evening to make the repair and restore service as quickly and safely as possible. We are grateful for their dedication and hard work.

Please remember that the **Boil Advisory remains in effect**.

This is a **Boil Advisory**, not a Boil Order. The advisory is required as a precautionary measure because water pressure in the affected main dropped below 20 PSI during the repair. While the likelihood of contamination is very low, Department of Natural Resources (DNR) regulations require the City to issue a boil advisory under these circumstances.

The advisory will remain in effect until water samples are collected, tested, and approved by DNR, which typically takes 3 to 5 business days.

Residents in the affected area should boil tap water for at least 3 minutes before consumption or use bottled water until the advisory is lifted. Businesses regulated by the Department of Health and Senior Services should follow applicable department guidelines.

Thank you for your patience and understanding throughout this repair process.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Central Ozarks Medical Center Announces Opening of Crocker Clinic Expansion

Crocker, MO (June 10, 2026)— Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is proud to announce the continued expansion of services in Pulaski County with the ongoing growth and community impact of its Crocker Clinic, located at 101 E. 12th Street, Crocker, Missouri.

“I’m thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of the COMC Crocker Clinic. For nearly 30 years, families in Crocker and the surrounding area have gone without local access to a doctor. Thanks to the dedication of Central Ozarks Medical Center, residents now have convenient access to quality primary care and dental services right here in our community. No longer will folks have to drive 14 miles or more for basic medical care. This new clinic is a game-changer for rural healthcare in the 124th District, and I’m proud to support COMC’s mission of compassionate, accessible care for all.” said Representative Don Mayhew, Missouri House District 124

The Crocker Clinic provides local access to high-quality, compassionate care for individuals and families in the Crocker community and surrounding areas. Services include primary medical care, dental services, and access to COMC’s community health resources.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, COMC remains committed to its mission of ensuring healthcare is accessible, affordable, and available to all—regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. The Crocker location is part of COMC’s ongoing effort to expand rural healthcare access across Central Missouri.

DawnElyn Schneider, Interim CEO for COMC, shared "Healthcare access is about more than miles. It's about time, convenience, and the ability to receive care without unnecessary barriers. Although our new Crocker clinic is only 15 minutes from Richland, it will reduce travel times for many patients from 30 minutes to 15, making care significantly more accessible. Our patients asked for services closer to home, and we listened. The Crocker clinic is another step in our mission to ensure access for all and build healthier communities."

The Crocker Clinic offers convenient weekday hours, coordinated care, and seamless connection to COMC’s additional locations in surrounding areas like Richland and Waynesville. Patients also benefit from integrated services including preventive care, optometry services, OBGYN Care and MAT services.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, patients can contact COMC at 877-406-2662 or visit www.centralozarks.org.

‼️Our nice run of relatively mild June temperatures has come to an end. Afternoon temperatures of about 90 degrees and the high humidity are creating dangerous conditions for those spending significant time outdoors.
⚠️A Heat Advisory is in effect where confidence is greatest in heat index values reaching 105 degrees this afternoon.
⚠️ Depending on cloud cover, there is a medium chance for similar conditions across portions of the area Wednesday and Thursday.
âś…Limit time outdoors during the hottest periods of the day
âś…Drink plenty of fluid to stay hydrated
âś…Check on the elderly and those who might require assistance

Currently attending the Pulaski County Commission. Members present are Presiding Commissioner Gene Newkirk, Western District Commissioner Andy Helms, Eastern District Commissioner Kevin Davis, Dave Ernst; Pulaski County Clerk, along with Sheriff Stacy Ball and Chief Deputy Rex Larson from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner Roger Graves from the Pulaski County Coroner's Office

Brandi Richardson of the Pulaski County Extension introduced Ashley Roam as the new 4H youth associate, a position using funding from the opioid settlement.

Philip Augustyn is asking the commissioners for help with a forestry department road that he says the forestry department tried to turn over to the Pulaski County, MO Commission/Road & Bridge Department, but they say county officials said they don't want it. He said his mortgage documents include a clause that the forestry department would maintain the road to his home, and that used to be the case but no longer is.
Davis and Helms said they weren't aware of anyone from the forestry department coming to the commission asking the commissioners to take over a forestry department road in Misty Mountain. The road may not have a formal name but is being informally called "Decker's Ridge."
Augustyn: "They wanted me to maintain it, and I'm 70 years old and don't own no heavy equipment. That's not going to work."
Davis said he'd consider accepting the road but even if the county does accept the road, the forestry department would first have to upgrade it to county standards and maintain it for a year to see if it holds up. Davis said he'll go out to check the road.
Davis: "I can just imagine what it looks like."

Commissioners have adjourned.
