Hello there! An intro was feeling overdue, so it’s lovely to meet you. I’m Ashley, one half of the heart behind Ashley Renee Studios. My husband Erik and I capture weddings and elopements together, and I am the one who brings the footage to life in the editing room with tears in my eyes, our cat in my lap, and an iced peppermint mocha in hand.
I’ve been a sentimental soul my whole life, always cherishing the nostalgia tucked inside old home movies. That love for memory keeping is what led me here. I create wedding films that preserve not just the big moments but also the small glances, the laughter, and the emotions that make a wedding day unforgettable. It is one of the greatest honors of my life to help couples relive those memories again and again. I’m also an open book, so feel free to ask me anything else you’d like to know! 🤍

Some films just stay with you forever. Kaitlyn and Hunter’s wedding day was one of those stories—the kind you feel in your bones, the kind that lingers like a favorite movie.
On a misty Oregon winter day, surrounded by 300 of their closest loved ones, they promised forever. Their day was rustic yet timeless, grand yet deeply personal. Every frame, every glance, every moment stitched together into a story they’ll cherish for a lifetime.
This is one of the most heartfelt films I’ve ever created. Every second poured over with care, every detail woven with intention. I can’t wait for you to experience it.

Swipe for a throwback to little me, figuring things out one step at a time—literally. 😂
If I could tell my younger self one thing, it would be this: your love for connection and storytelling will take you places you never imagined. Andddd, please keep all the photo and video cameras you’ll own through the years—people will love film and vintage looks again someday, haha.
I grew up surrounded by medical providers and was sure that was my path. So I moved 3,000 miles away to earn my clinical doctorate from Drexel University, ready to take on the world. I set off from there figuring I had my life all planned out. But my deep-feeling, sentimental heart and techy, detail-oriented brain weren’t at peace with patient care alone.
Looking back, maybe I should’ve known—I’ve been a movie lover since I was a baby. My dad and I went to the movies every chance we had, and to this day, 90s and 00s rom-coms are my biggest inspiration. The emotions, the storytelling, the way every little moment adds up to something bigger—I live for that. My first job was at a movie theater which might have been a sign!
I didn’t grow up thinking I’d be a wedding filmmaker, but now, I can’t imagine doing anything else. The moments that move me—the raw emotions, fleeting glances, heartfelt vows—have always been what I cherish most. Now, I get to preserve them for others, crafting wedding films that become family heirlooms.
So just a little throwback for today with the reminder that sometimes the best stories are the ones we never saw coming 🤍
