🚨7-25-25: The threat for tornadoes across the eastern part of the state today is becoming more concerning! A 5% threat has been added for eastern Kansas INCLUDING the KC Metro! Storms are expected to fire at anytime from now through the rest of the evening!

🚨Level 3/4 Flood Risk is in place for the Kansas City area! Within the pink circles, the green box indicates the most recently reported Dew Point. Some areas have dew points around 80°F, which is considered a severe humidity risk. (The average dew points in the Amazon Rainforest sit around 75°F for reference.)

DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOODED ROADWAYS! Take proper precautions in the event of a flood and get to higher ground. Keep your eyes on the sky and be safe!

Apologies for the lack of updates through the severe weather in Kansas! We have been out monitoring some areas of the storm in the area. Please check the map as the Green boxes indicate Flash Flood Warnings and the Orange being Severe Thunderstorm Warnings! These storms are moving very slowly and are unstable. Heavy rain can turn to ail quickly!

6-26-25: Severe outlook for today! A Marginal (2/5) Threat is in place across Kansas today. Expect some general thunderstorms today, with some having the potential to be severe. Wind and some hail will be the main threats today as we sit in the area of storm development. Still, the weather can change in a matter of minutes, so be prepared and have a plan in case things turn bad! Keep your eyes on the sky and stay safe!

6-24-25: Models are showing a chance of some general thunderstorms with a chance of some gusty winds this afternoon across central Kansas up through the KC metro. Wind gusts should remain around 40-45mph with these storms. Otherwise, expect warm, humid weather across the state today. Highs should peak in the mid-80s with dew points in the mid-low 70s. Breezy conditions should continue throughout the day. Keep your eyes on the sky and be safe!
