I had a fantastic day in the foothills of North Carolina filming a beautiful wedding ceremony with Nolan Whitener and Lillian Whitener at Red Cedar Farm.

Their love for each other spills over in their wedding film and their love for blue grass music and sports. You know when you share the film with them both and both are crying at the end you've exceeded their expectations!

When you send over a wedding film and you get back
"I'm seriously crying, this is so beautiful" is all a wedding videographer could ever ask from his work.

This wedding at The Lodge on Hatley Farm definitely had it's challenges due to weather, tight spaces and everything going 100 mph.

Had the opportunity this past Sunday to help this team with head shots and group pictures.

As a travel ball team they use these for identification and for recruiting scouts later down the road.

Late Sunday evening I got to spend a few hours with these ladies. I'm sure after 20 yrs of friendships between this group it's a blessing to see each other.

Of course I was honored to take these special picture for all of them. I wanted to share a few that really stood out to me as a photographer. Not all will be perfect but these were at the top!

Found this camera last night going through some boxes, I could only smile and remember back starting Pass'n it on Outdoors and then Hands of a Sportsman. This was my first video camera I ever bought and had no idea how to use it 😂.

I remember when I first bought this and how excited I was to film our deer hunts. Even though it doesn’t work anymore I’ll keep it just as a reminder of all the good times and struggles our group had in the outdoors including my personal struggles.

Today I’m glad I still have that passion for film after all these years and it’s funny how our hobbies are a lot like life. Each stage will teach you something about YOU even when you feel like you’re failing at times.

It’s also a testament that hard work, being persistent and never giving up on a dream will always pay off.

Big or small never give up on your dream and enjoy the stepping stone of your life and the hobbies you enjoy.
