🔍 The family had to become their own investigators due to Horry County Police completely FAILING in the investigation. Their fight for justice has been an uphill battle for even the most basic answers. 

🚨 Explosive findings in the case file have already led to consequences (but not enough): Horry County Deputy Chief Brandon Strickland resigned under pressure and is being investigated for misconduct. Horry County Officer Damon Vescovi was fired and is being investigated after journalist Beth Braden found body cam footage where he wrote a note telling the shooters to “act like a victim” on the scene.

❤️Listen to learn more about the true character of Scott Spivey, combating a negative narrative pushed by law enforcement and the shooters. Scott is remembered as loyal, a jokester, passionate about helping people and animals, and having a strong sense of right and wrong.

⚖️ With no criminal charges filed, the family’s only remaining avenue for justice was filing a wrongful death civil lawsuit.

🙏 Despite immense grief and facing a seemingly corrupt system, the Spivey family started the Scott Spivey Memorial Scholarship to continue his legacy of helping young people and making the community better.
