The San Angelo Amateur Radio Club holds regular monthly meetings on the second Thursday of each month beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the clubhouse located at 5513 Stewart Lane, Mathis Field. All amateurs and persons interested in amateur radio are invited to attend the club meetings. We have a program of general amateur interest following the business portion of each meeting. Current club news and upco

ming events are reported on the Concho Valley Two Meter Net which meets every Monday night at 8 p.m. on the club's 146.34/.94 repeater, W5QX/R, PL 103.5 Hz. The net control is one of the club members and all amateurs are welcome to check into this net. The San Angelo Amateur Radio Club is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with a long tradition of providing service to the people of the Concho Valley. Originally organized in the 1920s, the club continues that tradition today by providing communications support to public service events such as Christmas in April, the Crop Walk for Hunger, and similar events. Club member participation in the National Weather Service's SKYWARN™ severe weather spotting program provides timely on-the-scene weather observations via the weather service's club radio station N5NWS located in the Doppler radar room at the San Angelo NWS office.

Update: PL Output has been restored.

Good Morning,

A configuration change inadvertently disabled the subaudible "PL" or "CTCSS" tone from being transmitted by the 146.94 repeater. Currently, the 94 is not transmitting the 103.5 Output tone. (input tone still configured).

This would only impact you if you have radios configured with a "tone squelch" feature enabled. If you have a tone squelch on the your radio's receiver, this would cause you not to hear the repeater, as your radio has been configured to not open the squelch unless it hears the tone you're expecting.

We'll let you know when the PL output on the repeater has been re-configured. Thanks for your patience, and in the event of SKYWARN activation, monitor the backup channel 146.88 -0.6 PL 88.5
