The Uncommon U

The Uncommon U Helping high-functioning women break survival mode and return to Christ-centered wholeness. I believe every woman carries a testimony that can set another free.

I am a certified faith-based mindset coach, seasoned senior military spouse, mentor, mental health advocate, personal coach, and writer. I know what it means to carry invisible battles, to survive seasons that try to silence you, and still choose to rise. I proudly served in the United States Army, but as my family started to grow, I hung up my boots and started traveling with my soldier. I stay in my field of finance, but with the constant moves that came with military life, my path began to shift. Over the last 25+ years, I have found myself coaching, mentoring, and serving women from all walks of life. It wasn’t something I set out to do—it was something God placed within me. I've had the pleasure of living in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, and across the United States--an experience that has shaped my heart from women of diverse cultural backgrounds. After a life-altering accident, The Uncommon U was officially birthed—a movement to help women heal right. Through teaching emotional resilience, rewriting painful stories with the truth of God’s Word, and reclaiming their voice, I guide women from survival to transformation, from silence to strength, and from brokenness to wholeness. My mission is to create spaces, resources, and conversations that empower women to embrace their healing, reclaim their identity, and rise boldly into the uncommon life they were created for. Coach U interacts with followers on the text platform Community and offers private coaching.

Hebrews 10:24 reminds us to “spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” Today looked a little like that—community, creativity, connection, and people coming together to support a meaningful cause.

I had such a beautiful time with the Authentic Style Group at their fundraiser. 🎨✨

Sometimes impact looks like serving. Sometimes it looks like giving. Sometimes it simply looks like showing up and supporting the good someone else is doing.

Beautiful people. Beautiful purpose. Beautiful memories.

Go check out their IG page and website to learn more about their mission and how you can support what they’re doing. 🤎

Every tongue that rises against you does not get the final word.

People may misread you.
Mislabel you.
Misrepresent your heart.
Even speak things over your life that God never said.

But accusation does not become identity just because someone said it loudly.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.” — Isaiah 54:17

Guard your heart.
Walk in integrity.
Stay with your assignment.
And let God defend what He called.

Prayed that prayer, and did God ever pull back the covers.

Thank You, Father God, for clarity and confirmation. Now, have your way. Have mercy. 🙏🏾

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world…”
— Ephesians 6:12

Clarity does not require retaliation.
Discernment does not require exposure.
And confirmation does not give us permission to make people the enemy.

Sometimes God simply allows you to see enough so you can stop wrestling with what He has already revealed.

My responsibility now is obedience, prayer, wisdom, clean hands, and a pure heart.

Father, You showed me, thank you! 🙏🏾 I’m good. Now only with mine eyes will I see their reward.

You don’t have to wait until the fullness of who you are is revealed to know who you are.

“Beloved, now are we the children of God…” — 1 John 3:2

Your identity is already settled in Christ, even while your formation is still unfolding. It may not yet appear what you shall be, but you are becoming more like Him each moment you choose to surrender, obey, abide, and rest in Him.

You are His.
You are becoming.
And Christ is being formed in you.

If you’re in a season of being formed, this is for you.

When you are being formed in His image, you learn to wait. You learn to trust. You learn to surrender, obey, abide, and rest. You learn that His timing is not a delay—it is part of the forming.

…until Christ is formed in you.

Those who look to Him are radiant. ✨

Not because life is easy.
Not because we have finally figured everything out.

But because something happens when we turn our face back toward Him.

Fear loses its grip.
Shame loses its power.
Our focus shifts.
And His light begins to reflect through us.

Bear witness.

Be the light that steps into the office, onto the campus, through the grocery store, and even into the alleyway. Somebody needs what God is reflecting through you.

You don’t have to manufacture the glow.

Just keep turning toward the One who is Light—
the One who burns bright enough to light you up too.

Stay lit. Stay radiant.

“Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.” — Psalm 34:5 NIV
