San Japan would like to welcome the return of Studio TRIGGER with Naoko Tsutumi, Yoh Yoshinari, and Akihiro Sato at San Japan 16.
Naoko Tsutsumi
Animation Producer, Production Supervisor, TRIGGER
After beginning her career at animation studio GAINAX, Naoko Tsutsumi joined TRIGGER as a founding staff member in 2011. Since then, she has been involved in nearly all of TRIGGER’s animated productions, serving as production supervisor.
She worked as a production desk on KILL la KILL before stepping into the role of animation producer on Little Witch Academia, a short film developed as part of Anime Mirai’s talent development initiative. Tsutsumi has also contributed to short-form animated projects for international game titles, including Indivisible (Lab Zero Games), Shantae and the Seven Sirens (WayForward), and Omega Strikers (Odyssey Interactive).
She served as producer on feature films such as Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade and PROMARE, and on several globally distributed projects including Star Wars: Visions — “THE TWINS” and “The Elder” — as well as the upcoming “THE SMUGGLER,” slated for Fall 2024. Additional credits include the Netflix original series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and the highly anticipated New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, debuting in Summer 2025.
Yoh Yoshinari
Yoshinari is a renowned animation director, illustrator, character designer of Studio TRIGGER. Some of his more notable titles include Little Witch Academia, BNA, and most recently Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Akihiro Sato
Born in 1995 in Osaka Prefecture, Akihiro Sato joined Studio TRIGGER after graduating from Tokyo Zokei University. He made his debut as an animation director on Delicious in Dungeon and has contributed to numerous other TRIGGER productions, including SSSS.DYNAZENON, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and BNA: Brand New Animal. Most recently, he served as an episodic animation director on New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT.
