How should we discern?

Many assume there is something spiritually beneficial to gain from voices like Jenny Weaver, Isaiah Saldivar, Alex Pagani, Mike Signorelli, and Jeremiah Johnson. But the moment you hold their teaching next to Scripture, the façade collapses. You don’t need hours of research; just open your Bible and test them by the standard of 1 John 4:1. Their message cannot withstand basic biblical scrutiny.

What you will not find in their preaching is sound doctrine, true gospel repentance, or the holiness produced by genuine regeneration. You find emotional mysticism dressed up as Christianity, a spirituality built on sensational experiences rather than the sufficiency of Christ and His Word. People are drawn to them not because they teach the truth, but because they offer a counterfeit form of “help” that substitutes hype for holiness.

The problem is not style or personality. It is doctrine, and doctrine determines whether something is of the Spirit of God or a deception masquerading as light.

Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren.
