RLPro Advantage RLPro Advantage: Turning Your Potential Into A Real Advantage

Career Coach ready to help you reach your next level of success in life. Been there, know that.

Not long ago, someone asked me, "What is RLPro Advantage all about?"

I told them:

RLPro Advantage is for someone like you...who want FREEDOM and FULFILMENT in a new career or are ready to move into your next great opportunity adventure. My focus is to help professionals like yourself turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones and obstacles into opportunities for success. I imagine you are a pers

on who has reached a stage in your career where you want more. That is why I started RLPro Advantage. A little history about that:

As an Army Recruiter, I helped hundreds of young men and women get their career start. After 20 years of military service, I retired to start on a new career path. I have had a few jobs since retiring as I searched for my civilian niche. Two of the most rewarding jobs I have held after retirement was as a Benefits Counselor for the Health and Human Services and Case Manager for a Non-profit Veterans Organization. I really enjoyed those opportunities. I remember sitting on my patio one day reminising over my lifetime experiences. I realized I have always had a love for helping people get to their next level – whatever that may mean to them. Along the way I developed this Career Counseling Philosophy:

It doesn't matter to me where where you are when I first meet you – what matters to me is what I can do to help you get closer to where you want to be. I found myself not being a SAGE ON A STAGE...teaching you how to be, what to know or how to do. But someone who is like a GUIDE ON THE SIDE...walking step by step with you providing insight and guidance along your way. Like one writer says – when you help others get what they want – sooner or later you will get what you want. And that has always been my focus – helping others succeed. Another writer once said: Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal

So for me: success means having the opportunity to share what I know with others in a manner that helps them along their way. And when those opportunities come along I see them as “In the Middle of the Chapter” Encounters (ask me about that later on). From that thought came this name – RLPro Consulting short for Robert L Proctor Consulting:

my first name is Robert which means Bright Fame. And the first three letters of my last name tell you what kind of person I strive to be – I’m a Natural Born PRO…

I don’t know if you are picking up what I am putting down, right now, but let me say it like this:

my strategic desire for RLPro Advantage is to use my abilities, skills, and knowledge to help you turn your ideas into opportunities for success. So what's the best time for you and me to meet...

So we can started on YOUR SUCCESS!!! PS: Visit us at www.rlproadvantage.wordpress.com for more details or send an email 📥 to [email protected]

: Real Pro Tip #1: Don't fall victim to employment scams! Learn the red flags and protect yourself.

My eyes scanned the Facebook post, hope flickering.

My granddaughter, fresh out of high school, was desperate for work.

"$1950 a week for data entry? No experience needed?"

I reread the post, skepticism creeping in.

The pay seemed too high, the hours oddly specific.

Alarm bells jingled. Was this a scam? I imagined my granddaughter lured into something dangerous.

No, I couldn't risk it. I closed the app, a familiar pang of disappointment settling in my chest.

Finding a legitimate job was tough, but I'd rather her be safe than sorry.
~~~~~
Sad but true evidence about Employment Scammers. Employment scammers prey on hope, stealing money and personal information, leaving victims devastated.
P.S. These are Red Flags to Watch Out For:
Unrealistic Pay: If the pay seems too good to be true for the required experience, it probably is.
Vague Job Descriptions: Be wary of jobs that offer little detail about the actual work involved.
Odd Specificity: Details that seem oddly specific but don't really say anything concrete can be a warning sign.
Upfront Fees: Never pay for the promise of a job. Legitimate employers don't operate this way.
Pressure to Act Quickly: Scammers often create a false sense of urgency to prevent you from doing your research.
Unusual Communication: Be cautious of those who insist on communicating outside of professional channels (e.g., only through social media or text).
P.S.S. Tips for Safe Job Hunting:
Stick to Reputable Platforms: Use well-established job boards like LinkedIn, Indeed, and company websites.
Research the Company: Before applying, thoroughly research the company to verify its legitimacy.
Check Reviews: Look for employee reviews on sites like Glassdoor to get insights into the company culture and practices.
Trust Your Gut: If something feels off about a job posting or the hiring process, don't ignore your instincts.
Report Suspicious Activity: Report any suspected scams to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Are You Driving for Uber/Lyft Without the Right Insurance? 🚨🚗🚨
"What are the most important things aspiring rideshare drivers need to know?" I was pondering this earlier, jotting down some ideas for a workshop I'd like to give someday to aspiring Uber/Lyft Drivers. 🤔
Sure, I could talk about maximizing earnings, using the right apps, and providing excellent customer service.
But honestly, the thing that jumped to the top of my list was **insurance**.
I imagined it's something a lot of new drivers don't think about, but it's absolutely crucial.
I looked into it and found, most personal car insurance policies don't cover you when you're using your vehicle for commercial purposes – and that includes driving for Uber or Lyft.
Imagine this for a moment: You are doing your gig with Lyft, and you get into a fender bender while waiting for a ride request.
You think you're covered, but your insurance company denies your claim because you were technically "on the job."
Or worse, you have an accident with a passenger in your car, and you're facing a huge lawsuit. 😱
That's why it's SO important to talk to your insurance agent BEFORE you start driving.
You might need to add a rideshare endorsement to your policy, or get a separate rideshare insurance policy altogether.
Trust me, it's worth the peace of mind. Knowing you're fully protected allows you to focus on what matters: providing a safe and enjoyable experience for your passengers. 😊
You're the only one who can lower your risk and protect your earnings.
Here are three key tips to remember:
Key Tips:
✔ Always inform your insurer about your rideshare activities.
✔ Consider rideshare insurance for more comprehensive coverage.
✔ Lyft's and Uber's coverage is an added layer, not a substitute for proper personal insurance.
Are you in your 60s and considering a career change? 🤔
I was at Costco the other day, getting the tires on my wife's car rotated, when I saw her.
A woman who looked to be in her 60s, standing near a home remodeling booth, trying to book appointments for home remodeling.
She wasn't pushy, just...there doing what she had to do I guess. 😔
It got me thinking. Here she was, at an age when many are enjoying retirement, still working, and clearly not loving it.
It made me a little sad, but it also sparked an idea.💡
I've always been passionate about helping people find fulfilling careers, and this encounter really drove home the need for career guidance, especially for those in their later years, like me.
I believe there are so many people in their 60s and beyond who are not only looking for a change but yearning for a change.
Maybe they're burned out, maybe they want to try something new, or maybe they need to bridge the gap to retirement.
Whatever the reason, I know they need to know - it's never too late to find that thing you love! ❤️
That's when I thought, Robert you ought to host a FREE workshop soon specifically for those considering a career change later in life.
What do you think? Would that be something you or someone you know would be interested in particiapting in?
(Leave your comments below, I'd really like to know, what you think)
