It’s a shame what Veterans Day has turned into.
Lines of cars for freebies, backed-up traffic. All for a free steak at Texas Roadhouse or a meal from Applebee’s.
I’m not saying appreciation is bad.
But when the focus shifts from honor to handouts, we’ve missed the point.
This day was meant for listening to Veterans’ stories, their struggles, their silence.
To the ones still fighting battles no one sees, knocking on the doors of su***de.
Instead, too many are chasing freebies 🐑🐑🐑 blind to the humanity slipping away.
If this culture keeps growing into a materialistic world, we’ve already lost the next war not on a battlefield, but within our own values.
If you really want to honor a Veteran, don’t just thank them.
Ask them how they’re doing.
Listen.
Be present.
That’s the real gift.
Because here’s the truth: the distractions keep us comfortable and compliant while the systems built to keep the working class dependent tighten their grip.
When shutdowns come, when chaos hits, it’s not the elite who suffer. It’s us. That’s the design.
Wake the f*** up.
