We usually don’t post much while we’re in the middle of a production, when we’re shooting, our heads are down and the focus is on the work but we’ve been in Corpus Christi since August 11th, and I wanted to come up for air for a minute and say how incredibly proud I am of this team.
Over the past week, we’ve been in the open water, up in the air, on the beach, on the road and just about everywhere in between. We’ve dealt with long days, changing conditions, complicated logistics and all the normal curveballs that come with making a film and we can’t be stopped.
That’s the part of filmmaking I love! You can plan everything down to the minute, but eventually something goes wrong. Big deal. Weather changes. Locations change. The sun moves. Equipment fights back. Plans get rewritten. And then you look around and realize you’re surrounded by a group of people who simply figure it out.
This team has worked together a lot over the past year, and I think that shows. People know their jobs. They trust each other. They step in when another department needs help. And when things get difficult, everybody keeps moving in the same direction.
And don’t worry, we’ll have tons of content to post about this shoot and the last 6, this is just a quick moment in the middle of the madness to recognize the people standing beside me.
The best little film team in Texas.
