The Cracks in the Sidewalk – Skate. Early Access Review

The long-awaited return of Skate. is finally here—but does it live up to the legacy? 🤔

Writer Matthew Johnson breaks down the highs and lows of EA’s reboot:
✔️ Smooth skating mechanics that still feel authentic
❌ A city that feels sterile and lacking soul
❌ Missing fan-favorite features like Hall of Meat
⚠️ Monetization worries with its free-to-play model
🐛 Performance hiccups and thin early content

It’s fun, it’s free, and it shows promise—but right now, Skate. feels more like a demo than a full revival. Can Full Circle bring back the grit and charm that made the originals classics?

On September 16, 2025, the world lost a true legend. Robert Redford, at 89, passed away at his home in Sundance, Utah, surrounded by love.

He was more than just a movie star — he was a pioneer for independent cinema, a gifted actor, a brilliant director, and a tireless advocate for the environment. From Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid to Ordinary People, his work touched our hearts and inspired generations.

RIP Bobby Whitlock (1948–2025) 🎹💔

Today we say goodbye to Bobby Whitlock, the soulful voice and keyboardist who helped shape one of rock’s most iconic albums — Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs with Derek and the Dominos. He passed away this morning, August 10, 2025, at the age of 77, after a brief battle with cancer.

From his early days as the first white artist signed to Stax Records, to his time with Delaney & Bonnie, to co-writing classics like Bell Bottom Blues, Tell the Truth, and Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad?, Bobby poured his heart into every note. His song Thorn Tree in the Garden closed out the Layla album with haunting beauty.

He went on to release solo albums, play on George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass, and later, record and tour with his wife CoCo Carmel.

Eric Clapton said it best today: “Our dear friend Bobby Whitlock has passed away at 77… RIP Bobby ###.”

Rest in music, Bobby. Your songs will live forever. 🎶

Today, the world says goodbye to a true icon — a rebel, a legend, and the godfather of heavy metal. Ozzy Osbourne didn’t just make music — he changed it. From Black Sabbath to his groundbreaking solo career, Ozzy gave voice to the outsiders, the misfits, and the wild at heart. His influence is eternal, his presence unforgettable.

Whether it was the haunting howl of "War Pigs", the electric roar of "Crazy Train", or the raw vulnerability of "Mama, I’m Coming Home", Ozzy’s music will continue to speak to generations.

Thank you for the madness, the magic, and the music.
You may be gone from this world, but your spirit will never die.

Rest in Power, Ozzy.
