UPDATE: Had another lunch with Stephen today. He is 30 years old. He sleeps at night in a boat down the way. He has been to the shelter but does not take advantage of all their services. He wants to work but clearly is unable to. He finally has shoes. They are too small for him, but at least he is no longer walking around in socks. He is a kind soul, and perhaps- just doing the best he can to survive. I have appreciated all the kind words and offers to help him. For now, all I hope to do is feed him when he comes by. If he lets me in just a little, I will ensure that he has things he needs that he can store safely somewhere; toiletries, bedding, clothing, etc. I know there are places that offer services for him and others like him. For now, I'm just here when he comes to visit and thankful the weather is warming up. Blessings to everyone for caring so much. Truly wonderful!
