You're not wrong that sharing is less work — but native posting wins, and here's why:

- **Most groups kill shared posts.** Tons of big groups auto-remove anything shared in from a timeline — admins see it as spam. A post made directly in the group actually stays up.
- **Native posts get more reach.** Facebook pushes original group content harder than a share link. A shared post usually dies quietly.
- **Three posts = three chances.** Each native post gets its own comment thread and its own shot at the algorithm. One post shared three times is still just one post — if it flops, all three flop together.

So yeah, posting separately is more work, but it's the difference between your stuff being seen and being auto-removed. The shares *do* still count for something though — when someone shares YOUR post, that one's worth encouraging, because all that engagement feeds the original.
