Sometimes I miss the girl I was before everything changed. But the woman I am now? She is still always on the go but is also rooted, more resilient, and understands the power of starting again.

Being bedridden for a month in a hospital bed made my hair icky and matted. It was no longer an option to keep it as it was. I loved my hair long, so I grieved it like an old friend when I needed to have it cut. It was a month without showers, with wounds still healing and my skull still open. Somehow, that fresh cut with the first wash felt like freedom. My new look also reminded me that things would only get better from where I was. 🤕

It wasn’t just about hair. It was about reclaiming my body, my strength, and my story. 💛
