Adjusting Crowns-The Podcast: A show made by a black queen, for all black queens. I believe that EVERY woman is born a queen, but as a result of mistakes made through life we tend to forget who we are. I am no stranger to that, I’ve allowed various people and situations shape me into a person that is far from a queen. Unbeknownst to me, I was exhibiting angry, bitter, jealous, hurt, and broken qualities. It took another queen to tell me about myself to realize that I needed to make some changes! 😂
From that point on, I went into what I like to call, “adjusting crown mode.” This mode can be entered into by a queen that first and foremost recognizes and realizes that they have been and always will be a queen, despite the mess they’ve made in their life. Once recognition is complete, the next phase is self-reflection. It is imperative that you dive deep into your past to address the mess and come to terms with it, heal sis! 💁🏾♀️😏 From there, self-care is key. Whatever that may look like for you, for me it was sacrifice. I needed to get rid of toxic things in my life. Some friends had to go, had to distance myself from family a little bit, stay single for awhile and do ME. Now I am here, with a podcast to share my truth and help other women like me HEAL.
