Today’s the day! ‘s first European exhibition is opening tonight at Galerie L’esprit D’escalier in ✨

The exhibition will be on view May 21-30 at Galerie L’Esprit d’scalier

Adriel Michelle (b. Brooklyn, NY) is a Jamaican-American photo-based artist whose work explores identity, mythology, heritage, and belonging within the Afro-Caribbean diaspora. Through the integration of archival imagery and newly produced photographs, Michelle constructs layered visual narratives that collapse distinctions between past and present. Centering familial relationships and intergenerational memory, the work positions the body as a living archive through which histories are inherited, reimagined, and transmitted. By placing younger members of their family in dialogue with ancestral imagery, Michelle examines how memory, migration, and cultural lineage continue to shape contemporary Black diasporic identity.

Dear friends! We are pleased to announce that after a long pause, we are exhibiting five framed works from the ongoing series “For You Infinitely” by in Paris.

Exhibition will be available to view May 21-30 at Galerie L’Esprit d’scalier.
